Over the last 12 years WISSE has provided leadership, support and hands-on participation in DHS-CBP’s Enterprise, Segment and Solution architectures in core mission areas, business services, and enterprise services as they relate to Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models alignment:
Performance Architecture – Key contributor to the development of Agency programs’ performance indicators; establishment of a Line of Sight.
Business Architecture – Key contributor to creation of Agency’s Line of Business; modeling of Agency’s capabilities and business processes using BPMN notation.
Application Architecture – Key contributor establishing Agency’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructure, governance, methodologies and practices. Led projects transitioning to/and implementing SOA.
Data Architecture – Key contributor to development of Agency’s Enterprise Conceptual Model, Logical and Physical data models (LDM/PDM). Key player in migration of mainframe to Server-based RDBMS using ETL tools; key resource in Agency’s Information Exchanges conformance to the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).
Technology and Infrastructure Architecture – Key contributor to the Agency’s Enterprise Technical Architecture modernization, including management and development of technology products and standards, and Continuous Integration using Open Source products and Agile methodologies.
Cyber Security Architecture – Developed an Enterprise Security Architecture model including FISMA 2002 goals and objectives, NIST 800 security controls and requirements, and FISCAM system audits integrated with DISA STIGS for technical security patterns and aligned to the Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA) framework for a business driven security approach to managing risk.
